What is Personal Color Analysis?

    Personal Color Analysis (PCA) is a process, based on the science of color, that discovers which group of colors best corresponds to your natural coloring. The temperature, intensity, and value of each tone are considered specific to you. There are two different methods available, with the Custom option being possible for virtual clients. 

• CUSTOM: Based on the Caygill method, Heather will analyze your skin, eyes, blush, and hair shades to determine which corresponding colors are most complementary to your coloring, creating a completely custom palette that is as unique as you are. 
• 12-TONE:  Trained in both the TCI and 12-Blueprints method, Heather will complete a series of tests using calibrated colored fabric "drapes"  based on the Munsell color system. These drapes create effects on the skin which are observed,  measured, and compared to determine which of the 12 tones is best for you.  

What are the benefits of getting a color analysis done?

    Each individual's coloring is made up of a combination of many colors. When we can find what those colors consist of and translate that to our clothing, hair, and make-up selections, the result is one of complete harmony. This can help with feeling more balanced, increased confidence, and greater approach-ability. You may also notice brighter and healthier looking skin and hair, while blemishes, dark circles, and wrinkles are minimized. 

    In addition, you'll save time and money by eliminating the need to look at everything in the store, making shopping simpler and faster. New purchases, along with coordinating your existing wardrobe, will create a go-to closet where pieces are easy to mix and match. Spend your money only on clothing and makeup that is right for you and help eliminate buyer's remorse by avoiding those shopping mistakes. What should I expect during my color analysis?

VIRTUAL- To create your custom palette, you will need to provide a series of photographs that will be specified through a document after booking. After your colors have been selected and compiled, a time will be setup to have a short video call during daylight hours for you to view your palette before it's finalized. A photograph of the palette will be emailed to you with the physical palette arriving to you 2-3 weeks later. 

IN PERSON- We will begin with an introduction to each other and to color analysis before the process begins. The total time generally takes around 2 hours. After we have identified your best colors, if desired,  make-up can be applied in your corresponding tones. As the analysis concludes, tips will be provided on how to use your color palette fan efficiently with items from your own wardrobe so that when you're shopping, you can begin making correct color choices right away. If you'd like, feel free to bring one or two people with you who will be open to the process. Consider having your analyses done together, as seeing each others can be beneficial in many ways and is a lot of fun.

• Specific to 12-Tone: The analysis will be done under full spectrum lighting. Your clothes and hair will be covered by a neutral gray cape and scarf and the analyst will also be wearing neutral gray as to not alter the effects of the colored drapes being used

    Please note: It is much easier to come to the correct result if your skin is as natural as possible. If you have a dark or artificial tan or a sunburn,  it is best to wait until it lightens back towards your natural tone.

Is a color analysis beneficial to men and children as well? 

    Of course. What man doesn't want to look healthier and feel more confident? Men also spend money on clothing, so why not spend it on the right clothing instead of always playing it safe.

    Children can benefit from PCA as well, though it is ideal to wait until it is age appropriate. Youth/teens are a great age to consider it if they have an interest in the process.
